It has been such a treat to share in this experience with you, and learn about everything from baking technique to food photography, while trying some impeccable cakes.
Love “the green snow globe”! Thank you for the salade niçoise recipe! No where near as picturesque, I had my first salade niçoise in a beautifully appointed pop-up open air restaurant/bar in Philadelphia two years ago, and I was left wondering, of course, where it had been all my life!
Thank you, dear Jenn, for your unique and super special contributions to our week together here at Kate Hill's Relais de Camont in Southwest France. Your delicious dishes are rivaled only by the spectacular photographs you take of them. Your elderflower syrup infused cake with lemon curd filling and a flutter of acacia blossoms over buttercream frosting is, truly, a cake I will never forget.
I'm grateful for the time we spent together sharing meals and stories at Kate's table. Thank you so much for the support and I look forward to when our paths cross again! Bonne Chance with your writing and upcoming travels :)
What an amazing experience in the beautiful French countryside! Your salad and cake look divine and your photos are almost edible. I have really enjoyed reading about your experience in Camont! ❤️
How fun that you are in Camont! I wanted to go to a residency there this year (not the food writers' one) but it didn't work out. I hope to do one next year, though. Enjoy!
Always a delight, such a bounty of food at the markets, for me it is the Supermarket other than if I wish to struggle to find parking at our nearest market, unlike in France where you can wander up the street.
what a beautiful salad! love your writing and the pictures are superbe. Loved the whole thing! I'm very jealous of all that beautiful produce you get over there.

That nicoise is the most gorgeous thing I’ve set my eyes on!! I can taste the tomatoes….and the little taters…this makes me very happy.☺️

I love Salade Nicoise, and it's various interpretations. Your week in the country sounds divine. Thanks for sharing your creative pursuits with us.
The best spring lunch! Thanks for reading ☺️
What a beautiful salad! I did not know pansies were edible. Your composition is gorgeous.
Thank you so much! I love to get a little creative with plating. Yes, I have a recipe for using them on shortbread cookies, they bring instant color💛
Can you describe their flavor? Are they peppery? Bitter?
