Start Here: Welcome to My French Table
Bonjour and Bienvenue! Pour yourself a café, glass of wine, or just grab a pastry (chocolatine or pain aux raisins), and let me tell you what you'll find at My French Table.
A Personal Note
My French Table is about building a community of people who understand that food is never just about food, it's about connection, adventure, personal growth, and finding home wherever life takes you.
Whether you're dreaming of France from your kitchen, planning your own adventure abroad, or just someone who believes butter makes everything better, you belong here.
Enchanté! (nice to meet you),
Jenn
the woman behind the table
I'm Jenn Davis, and I've been on quite the journey (as the people in my life tell me). What started as a simple baking blog to showcase my recipes and photography, (Two Cups Flour) has evolved into something beautifully unexpected, a life in France writing a love letter to cultural curiosity and food.
The Short Version: I'm a food photographer, cookbook author, and baker who traded my American hustle for perusing French markets. I went from producing commercial photo shoots in Chicago, to navigating French fromageries, and I'm taking you along for every delicious moment.
The Longer Story: After years of training jumping horses, switching to photography and digital production, while also building Two Cups Flour into a Saveur winning food blog and publishing The Southern Baking Cookbook, my life story is beginning another chapter. In 2024, I found myself starting fresh in France, learning that "une baguette tradition, s'il vous plaît" is just the beginning of a whole new adventure.

Fun Facts About My French Life
Baguette Count: I buy approximately 7 baguettes per week (and yes, that's normal here)
Butter Revelation: French butter has ruined me for all other butters. The salt crystals in beurre de Baratte will change your life.
Market Philosophy: I now shop at multiple different stores for one meal. This is time consuming but magical.
Wine Education: I've learned more about wine in 6 months than in my previous 40+ years combined.
Language Victories: I can now successfully order meat from the butcher without needing a translator.
Bicycle Transportation: Without a car for the first time since I was 15, I’m learning to bike in a skirt and heels, grocery shop, and run errands in all kinds of weather.
