It’s been a busy May in my little French kitchen. Cherries, raspberries, and bags of chocolate have taken over every visible inch of my counter tops. I’m constantly followed by two furry assistants hoping for a mouthful of the latest pastry cream flavor. I’ve hung a marker board on my wall to keep track of all the recipes I want to make and those currently in testing. And the aroma of brown butter is seeping deeply into the stone walls of this old Bordeaux building.
What I love most about recipe development is the creation. Seeing how the ingredients are transformed and combined. And of course hearing back from you about the ones you’ve made and love.
Sometimes it feels like the internet is getting noisier by the day, especially for food creators. Recipes are constantly being copied, rewritten, and pushed around by AI.
So every real reader, baker, and home cook who shows up here truly matters to me. Thank you for being one of them.
And if any of these recipes look especially delicious to you, I’d be so grateful if you clicked over to check them out.

Fresh Cherry Scones
A tender scones with chunks of jammy fresh cherries, citrus zest and a touch of almond extract makes these a seasonal classic. They come together easily by hand and make the perfect summertime breakfast bake.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reader Review: These scones are amazing. I use this recipe for every other scone I make, from dried figs marinating in Madeira with walnuts to dates and candied maple pecans with oranje zest and blackberry lemon. I am so in love with someone finally adding enough zest! I put some lemon juice in the cream and put that back in the fridge until I need it. Every time I think of a new scone combination I am called the Scone Queen. This is only due to your recipe. Thank You!

Hi Jenn, I’ve been enjoying your tantalizing posts, if in theory more than practice. I’m a sporadic baker and mostly drool from afar, but your recent ice cream recipes got me extra inspired. That used to be my ’thing’ in the US! My Magimix machine doesn’t perform as well as my old Cuisinart, but I plan to try your milk powder suggestion as soon as I find some good peaches. I’ll let you know how it comes out. Thanks!
I'm dying to try some of your new recipes! They all look DELISH! I'm especially eyeing the scones and then chocolate cake with whipped cherry ganache!
