I’ve never lived in a city as walkable as Bordeaux, you can literally get everywhere on foot without the constant traffic or crowds you’d experience in New York or Chicago. A smaller city than Paris, with a great deal of charm, architectural beauty, and yes Christmas lights. A typical flâneur, just looking at holiday lights, peering into decorated store windows, while snacking on pastry trying to keep crumbs from sticking to my scarf.
This year I dipped my toe into a few of the French Christmas traditions including staring at holiday lights and Christmas trees, visiting markets, sampling chocolates and kissing under the mistletoe.
